Changhua Bank Co., Ltd. (The 14th year of the Taisho, 1925)

Changhua Bank was founded in early Japanese colonial days. It was jointly invested by Mr. Wu Yuxiang in the central Taiwanese gentry to raise 220,000 Japanese yen as the capital. In 1905, Wu Yuxiang initiated the establishment of the "Changhua Bank". The head office was set up in Changhua. It was set up by the local gentry in central Taiwan to solve the huge public debts paid by the settlement of the lease of the Changhua area. At that time, the celebrity, Gu Hsiang-rong in Lukang also selected as the supervisor, it was the first bank that was originally funded by the Taiwanese people.
